Shaken Not Stirred: Martini Williams Mercedes Concepts

Martini Williams

Race car liveries don’t get much more iconic than the Martini Racing stripes, and with more and more rumours circulating that Martini are to become Williams’ title sponsor this year, we could well see the Martini colours return to Formula One. This is not just good news for Williams but also F1 fans as it’s likely we’ll end up with a kick-ass new livery on the grid.

There’s no surprises that a few people have already dreamed up some Martini Williams Mercedes cars and below are the best of the bunch.

Deal got signed months ago and they filmed some adverts last week with the new colors. Or livery is white but won’t be shown until Melbourne

#1 (closely followed by #3) can’t be that far off, but I can’t imagine there being that much white. Even during the BMW & AT&T days, there was more like 60:40 (70:30 at a push) balance of White to Blue. The front wing would likely be blue, to balance with the rear wing, with the main tub being white.

I say this based on Williams recent re-jigg of the brand, which still has a lot of the deep blue, with white writing.

Why are people assuming it’s title sponsorship? AFAIK, it’s most likely not.

Also new livery is not good news for everybody. I loved the 2006-2013 liveries and can’t imagine any better than that. They were one of the main reasons why I started to support this team.
If new livery is required, please, let it include more dark blue than the last 2 concepts.
