Safety First: HRT F1 Team Secure Durex Sponsorship

It’s been a long time coming but finally Hispania Racing Team have secured themselves a title sponsor in Durex. It is the first time since 1976, that the condom company has backed an F1 team, back then they were sponsoring the Surtees team.

It’s a great deal for the team and one that works extremely well. As I’m sure you’ll agree, no other team has quite as much sex-appeal as this duo.

A new marketing campaign, similar to the JLS one we see in the UK, will be launched in Spain. It features the two drivers on packaging of the extra safe condoms, so you can choose your favourite.

A cheeky new advert has also been launched in India, in response to Sebastian Vettel calling their racing hero, Narain Karthikeyan, a cucumber.
